All About Hickory's At Home

Where it all started…

Hickory’s At Home was born out of a desire to help our local communities during the first lockdown and to provide thousands of less fortunate families with a hot meal. Working alongside Cash For Kids our team cooked & delivered hundreds of meals every week to local families. These meals were all funded by the profits from ‘curbside pick-up’ that we set up at some of our restaurants.

Our curbside pick-up menu was a selection of smokehouse classics that our pitmasters lovingly smoked, then chilled & packed for guests to order & pick up from their local Hickory’s restaurant. Over 3,200 meals were provided and thanks to the support of our guests in ordering from our curbside menu and other fundraising activities together we raised a staggering £65,000.

The demand for Hickory’s at Home was simply humbling and it was clear our guests truly missed their Hicks-Fix. So, when the restaurants re-opened we quickly got to work on a next day delivery service, something we had seen on one of our many research trips to the Southern States of America, where guests would order their BBQ online and heat at their convenience at home.

So, what is Hickory’s At Home all about?

Hickory's At Home is packed with smokehouse classics that guests have been enjoying in our restaurants for the past 10 years. From Memphis Ribs and Texas Style Brisket, to a classic Mac ‘n’ Cheese and all the sides, to the ultimate BBQ box – The Family Platter. This heaving BBQ box includes a selection of smokehouse favourites such as Memphis Style Ribs, BBQ Pulled Pork, Mac 'n' Cheese and our famous Texas Style Brisket, smoked low 'n' slow for 16 hours.

 All the meats are smoked by our passionate pitmasters in Ole Hickory smokers then chilled, packed & delivered next day to your front door. We work with DPD for delivery, which means we can deliver nationwide and you’ll get notifications on when to expect your box and full tracking.

Your BBQ box also includes a fun & easy-to-follow booklet containing all the heating instructions. We’ve kept it as straight forward as possible, so you don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen. Most dishes take only 20 minutes to heat, including the Family Platter (and that’s putting everything into the oven at the same time & at the same temperature). You’ll also get some tips from our pitmasters on what to do with your leftovers – surely it has to be the ultimate Texas beef dip sandwich with any leftover brisket!

It’s not just the food we’ve got covered – there’s an incredible selection of drinks. Our grape soda is a best seller in the restaurants; you’ve got to try it! We have bottled our own Hickory’s pale ale – it’s an easy drinking session ale that’s best served chilled with a bucket of wings.

And, there’s a selection of ‘shake at home’ cocktails to round off a truly authentic ‘at home’ experience. We’ve got a couple of original bartender creations: The Game Changer, a fruity and tropical rum-based drink plus the fun and quirky Cotton Candy, made with gin and Cointreau, with

your own tub of candy floss for serving. Plus a few classics: Espresso Martini, Mojito and a Negroni. You’ll get mixing instructions and tips for the perfect serve, so you get to play bartender at home
